The North Carolina-based pop punk group rock in a loft and wander the streets of Los Angeles.

Eyes Eat Suns’ emotions are palpable in the trio’s new video for “Priceless Faces.”

The video for the song about finding oneself in a new city begins with a pop punk power chord and the band horsing around at a train station. It then continues with shots of the band walking through a mostly-deserted area of Los Angeles overlooking the city and the three-piece performing their song — with gusto — in a loft.

Soaring vocals from Ayisa Adderley, driving guitars and pounding drums define "Priceless Faces," which calls to mind powerful rocking songs from Paramore and Avril Lavigne.

We spoke with Adderley about Eyes Eat Suns' inspirations, making the video and what’s next for the group.

What drives Eyes Eat Suns to make such emotive rock?

It's never really something we had sought out to do. We write what we feel and we feel a great deal and I guess it just shows in our music.

Could you talk about the inspiration for the video for “Priceless Faces”?

We felt the song had this fun vibe to it. We really wanted the focus to be on the song and the band. So, Jonathan [the director] thought shooting candid shots out in the streets of LA would accomplish that and it did. The atmosphere was great because the crew was so friendly and everyone was just ready to produce an awesome product. This is our first official video release, so I'm glad we were able to be in such a comfortable environment among family and friends.

What was the most difficult part of making the video?

Playing and singing along to the song because in order to accomplish most of the shots, we were singing along to a sped up version of the track. I forget by how much, but it was much, much faster than what you're hearing in the final product today.

What’s next for Eyes Eat Suns?

Touring! Honestly, we are just playing a bunch of shows right now. All of the dates are linked on our social media pages-- Facebook, Twitter, etc. We are also focusing a lot of our free time on writing new stuff. Even though we just put out the "Alive - EP" the beginning of this summer. We are already hard at work on some new stuff.
